Dylan Goh (also known as Arcai) is an award-winning artist, dancer and producer with 9 years’ experience in the creative industries. Working between Seoul and Sydney on Gadigal and Bidjigal Country, he is passionate about platforming experimental dance, street dance and diasporic stories through grassroots, community-driven programming.

Dylan is the Founder of Palette Session Australia, a not for profit organisation running experimental sessions* for dancers to find the unique colour of their movement. He sits on the Community Advisory Committee for Cypher Culture to shape national street dance initiatives in so-called ‘Australia’ and works as a Producer at Critical Path - a centre for choreographic enquiry, research and development.

Dylan was 1 of 3 NSW participants selected for the Independent Choreographers Program by Dancehouse and a finalist in the 2v2 experimental category at Destructive Steps 16, Australia’s largest street dance battle. His artistry is underpinned by punking/whacking/waacking and experimental movement practices from South Korea.

Dylan was an Asian-Australian Leadership Award (Under 25 Rising Star) finalist and New Colombo Plan Fellow (Republic of Korea). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Design from UNSW and a Certificate III in Live Production and Technical Services from TAFE NSW. He dreams of a more compassionate world connected through the unspoken language of dance.

* A session is a gathering of dancers who improvise to music with the intent of developing their craft and building tight-knit communities.

*Punking is a dance which emerged from the underground gay clubs of Los Angeles amongst Black and Latino communities in the 1970s.
